The Department of Community Health Nursing (CoHN), Narayan Nursing College, in collaboration with the NSS Unit, successfully organized a Logo Drawing Competition and Quiz Competition on the occasion of World Population Day on 11th July 2026 at Rajkiyakrit High School, Jamuhar, Rohtas, Bihar. The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. K. Latha, Dean cum Principal, and Prof. Dr. Shaveta Sharma, Vice Principal.
Celebrating this year’s theme, “Empowering Young People to Create the Families They Want in a Fair and Hopeful World,” the programme aimed to create awareness about population-related issues, family planning, maternal health, poverty, human rights, and the vital role of youth in addressing demographic challenges.
The programme began with a warm welcome by Prof. M. Sasi, Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing, followed by a theme presentation by Mr. Saikat Mondal, Nursing Tutor, who highlighted the significance of World Population Day and its global relevance. School students enthusiastically participated in the Logo Drawing Competition, expressing their ideas on population awareness through creative artwork, while the Quiz Competition encouraged interactive learning and enhanced their understanding of key population issues.
The winners of both competitions were felicitated by the faculty members of Narayan Nursing College and the Principal of Rajkiyakrit High School. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Dolon Dey, Nursing Tutor, followed by the National Anthem.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students, nursing students, faculty members, and DGNM students, making it a meaningful initiative to spread awareness and inspire responsible citizenship.
