Nutrition Expo 2025 – BSc(N) 2nd Semester Lab Sessions

As part of the BSc Nursing 2nd Semester Nutrition subject practicals, a vibrant and educational “Nutrition Expo” was organized from June 23rd to June 25th, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM at LT-2 and the Nutrition Lab. This 3-day event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. K. Latha, Dean cum Principal, Prof. Dr. Shaveta Sharma, Vice Principal, and Prof. Dr. P. Ponnarasi.

The expo aimed to provide hands-on learning experiences to 97 participating students, divided into eight groups, each comprising 11–12 students. Each group was assigned a specific therapeutic or nutritional theme:

  • Group A – Iron Rich Diet
  • Group B – Post-Operative Diets
  • Group C – Diabetic Prevention Diets
  • Group D – Fiber Rich Diets
  • Group E – Protein Rich Diet
  • Group F – Calcium Rich Diet
  • Group G – Renal Disease Diet
  • Group H – Hypertension Prevention Diets
  • Group I – Antenatal Diets

Throughout the sessions, students actively engaged in diet planning, preparation, and presentation, showcasing their understanding of balanced and therapeutic diets. Their efforts reflected creativity, scientific knowledge, and practical application skills.

The sessions were successfully facilitated by Ms. Chandani Kumari, Nutrition Subject In-charge, and Mr. Munna, Nutrition Lab Attendant, whose continuous support and coordination ensured the smooth conduct of all activities. We are also grateful to all the teaching faculty for their valuable presence and insightful feedback, which further enriched the learning outcomes.

Overall, the Nutrition Expo not only enhanced students’ academic understanding but also fostered teamwork, critical thinking, and communication skills—key attributes for future healthcare professionals.
