World Mental Health Day 2026 Celebrated by Narayan Nursing College at Chandi Village, Rohtas

The Department of Mental Health Nursing, Narayan Nursing College (NNC), Gopal Narayan Singh University (GNSU), Jamuhar, Rohtas, Bihar, observed World Mental Health Day 2026 on 12 October 2026 at Chandi Village, Akorigola, Rohtas, Bihar, under the theme “Mental Health Awareness and Community Education.”

Organized under the guidance and support of Prof. Dr. K. Latha, Dean-cum-Principal, and Prof. Dr. Shaveta Sharma, Vice-Principal, the programme aimed to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma associated with mental illness, and encourage timely access to professional support.

The programme featured an awareness rally, a role play titled “Pagal Nahi, Pareshan Hain,” a door-to-door awareness campaign, and the distribution of informative leaflets. Through these activities, nursing students educated villagers about psychological well-being, early warning signs of mental health conditions, available health services, and the importance of seeking timely professional care.

The initiative provided students with valuable practical experience in community mental health nursing while promoting empathy, understanding, and acceptance towards individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Narayan Nursing College extends its sincere gratitude to the institutional leadership, faculty members, and nursing students for their guidance, dedication, and active participation in making the programme successful.
