On the occasion of World Hypertension Day, under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. K. Latha, Dean-cum-Principal, and Prof. Dr. Shaveta Sharma, Vice Principal, the Narayan Nursing College organized a community health check-up camp at Akorhi Village, Gram Saba.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about hypertension and promote preventive health practices among the rural population. During the camp, blood pressure, blood sugar, and BMI assessments were conducted for the general public. Newly identified cases of hypertension were referred to appropriate medical services. The team also provided lifestyle counseling to encourage healthy habits and reduce the risk of developing hypertension.
This camp proved highly beneficial in identifying the prevalence of hypertension in the rural community and served as an important step toward building a healthier society.
