World Health Day 2026 Celebration: Harnessing the Power of Scientific Collaboration for Global Health and Sustainability

World Health Day was celebrated on 7th April 2026 at Narayan Nursing College with great enthusiasm and active participation. The program, organized by the M.Sc. Nursing students and the Medical-Surgical Nursing Department, was conducted for the 8th semester students at Lecture Theatre – 3 (LT-3) from 2:00 PM to 4:25 PM.

The event was held under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dr. K. Latha, Dean-cum-Principal, and was graced by Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Shaveta Sharma, Prof. Dr. P. Ponnarasi (HOD, Medical-Surgical Nursing Department), along with respected Heads of Departments, faculty members, and non-teaching staff.

Centered around the theme “Power of Scientific Collaboration to Protect the People, Animals, Plants, and Planet,” the program emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary and collaborative efforts in achieving global health and environmental sustainability.

The session began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Madhuri Kumari, followed by a felicitation ceremony. Prof. Dr. P. Ponnarasi introduced the theme, highlighting the role of scientific collaboration in addressing global health challenges. The keynote address by Prof. Dr. K. Latha further elaborated on integrated healthcare approaches and the responsibility of healthcare professionals in community well-being.

A panel discussion conducted by M.Sc. Nursing II Year students explored various dimensions of the theme, focusing on protecting people, animals, plants, and the planet through collaborative scientific efforts. Each presentation underscored the interconnectedness of health and the environment.

The session concluded with a summary and recommendations by Mr. Shivanshu Kumar, followed by a vote of thanks by Ms. Anu Kumari.

Overall, the program was informative, engaging, and successfully raised awareness about the vital role of scientific collaboration in promoting holistic health and sustainability.
