An orientation programme titled “Briefing about IBM Career Education Program: Data Visualization for Health Care” was held on 23rd July 2025 at Lecture Hall-3, Narayan Nursing College. The session, which commenced at 10:00 AM, was coordinated by Ms. Sabina Kujur, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry.
The event was designed to introduce students to the critical role of data visualization in healthcare and to familiarize them with the IBM Career Education Program—an initiative aimed at enhancing technical skills and healthcare innovation.
The programme was inaugurated with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Shaveta Sharma, Vice Principal, followed by an introductory note by Prof. Dr. K. Latha, Dean cum Principal. Eminent speakers from IBM and Cognitel, including Ms. Shefalydutta, Mr. Ashutosh Kumar, and Mr. Rahul Kumar, delivered expert insights on how data-driven approaches are transforming clinical practices and research in healthcare.
Participants included B.Sc. Nursing and B. Pharm students (6th Semester), who engaged actively throughout the interactive session. The event highlighted the value of academia-industry collaboration in preparing students for evolving roles in healthcare, and concluded with expressions of gratitude to the college leadership for their continued support.
